Memorial Hospital, a not-for-profit critical access hospital in Abilene, has served Dickinson County since 1922. It prides itself on the quality patient care its staff provides, and consistently ranks in the highest percentiles on patient satisfaction surveys conducted by the Kansas Hospital Association. Memorial Hospital’s medical staff consists of more than 60 allied health professionals and physicians.
Memorial Hospital is a modern health care institution that has sophisticated diagnostic equipment and technology. It provides many services, including 24-hour emergency care, a childbirth center, a skilled nursing swing-bed program, a modern diagnostic laboratory, diagnostic imaging services, rehabilitation, respiratory care, a geriatric behavioral unit, and visiting specialists. General surgery is provided at the hospital through the Memorial Health System affiliate Heartland Surgery.
