Dickinson County Emergency Medical Service (EMS) has two stations and five ambulances which cover 852 square miles. The stations are located in Abilene and Herington.
On average, about four 911 calls per day and approximately 1,500 calls per year are responded to by the Dickinson County EMS. Of the calls responded to, 98% of them were staffed with at least one Paramedic (MICT).
Dickinson County Emergency Medical Services is a county service. This service is managed under contract by Memorial Health System.
