Medical/surgical unit
The Medical/Surgical Unit at Memorial Hospital is located on the second floor and provides bedside care for individuals when they are recovering from illness or surgery. While giving bedside care, the nurses explain and teach the patients about their health issues. Registered nurses provide compassionate and quality care. Memorial Hospital has the commitment of people you know, caring for people you love to give patients the best possible care.

Diabetes Self-Managment Education Program - Back to top
This program consists of one-on-one consultations that help outpatients to learn more about managing their diabetetes. A Registered Dietitian and Registered Nurse teach the program and design indivdual plans for each patient. The goal of this program is to enable patients to sucessfully manage their own diabetes.
Pediatric Care - Back to top
This type of care focuses on the unique needs of children. Memorial Hospital is excited that it can provide this specialized care to families in the community.
PICC Line - Back to top
This peripherally inserted central line long-term intravenous catheter is used for antibiotics and for nutritional needs. It is a long, soft, flexible tube that is inserted through a vein in the arm. This is generally used for home settings where the patient needs to administer some sort of medication.
Swing-Bed Program - Back to top
When your loved one requires a range of non-acute services from skilled to intermediate care, Memorial Hospital offers a Swing-Bed care program. This provides transitional care for patients possibly recovering from surgery, injury, or illness. To learn more about skilled care, contact the Skilled Care Coordinator at 785-263-6631.
