When you or someone you know needs guidance and support after losing a loved one, Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County is there for you. Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County offers bereavement sessions several times during the year. Each session meets for eight weeks and focuses on the period of grief and transition following the loss of a loved one. Guidance is provided towards learning coping skills. Memorial Hospital offers this program for those interested in losing weight by learning how to make nutritional and life-style changes that help make weight loss permanent. The Dickinson County Diabetes Support group meets at Memorial Hospital to provide education and support to diabetic individuals and their loved ones. Each month a program is presented by a health care professional on a diabetes-related topic such as meal planning, proper foot care, fitness, eye care, tracking blood sugars, and more. This program is provided in cooperation with the American Diabetes Association and the Kansas State Research and Extension, Dickinson County.
